  • Congratulations to long-standing RSAC member Mohinder Grewal for his receipt of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal! 

The following information was provided in the brief biographies of medal recipients:

“Mohinder Grewal is a member of the Council of Senior Citizens Organizations of BC and is a very active and esteemed volunteer on a number of committees and boards. He has worked in the area of race relations, immigrant services and cultural and social policy development and served as a member of the Convention Refugee Determination Division of the Immigration and Refuge Board of Canada. Mr. Grewal has dedicated his life in Canada to the well-being of immigrants and visible minorities and to creating a just society in which all are welcome.”

Hearing Assist Devices in local theatres

Silver City theatres offer hearing assist devices (cordless amplified headphones) that can be obtained from the box office when purchasing tickets. They work in most Silver City theatres but not all. Patrons can call ahead to be sure they are available and will work in the theatre of their choice. Telephone: 604-277-5993
